Do you have a Patriot ancestor? Since 1890, women across the United States have been honoring the dedication and sacrifice of the Patriots who fought for American independence by joining DAR. Today’s DAR is full of professional, community-minded, and motivated women who carry on the independent spirit of their ancestors.

To be eligible, you must be 18 years or older and be a direct descendant of an ancestor who aided in the cause for American independence. Any woman who can trace their direct lineage may join, no matter what race, ethnicity, or religion.
